Dive Insight:
There's no doubt that the mobile market is set to explode. The question is where it's headed. Will the revenues be driven by mobile medical devices, healthcare apps, or even new technology like the smartphone/tablet combo phablet? Over the next couple of years it will be fascinating to see how the various mobile technologies mix and meld to solve healthcare problems. By 2020, I'd argue that we will hardly recognize the devices we use today, so fast is the pace of mobile health innovation moving.
