Effective July 1, Mehrotra will be promoted to CEO of the Arlington, Virginia-based digital health company, succeeding Shawn Morris.

Morris, who has led the company since 2018, will retire and remain on the company’s board. He oversaw the company’s initial public offering in 2021 and expanded the company’s footprint into eight new states, according to a company statement.
“I am extremely proud of what Privia Health has achieved during my five years as CEO,” Morris said in the statement. “Parth has operated as my partner to drive Privia’s success, and his demonstrated leadership capabilities, deep healthcare experience and superb execution of our long-term growth strategy position him perfectly to succeed me as CEO to drive the next phase of Privia’s growth and expansion.”
Before joining Privia in 2018, Mehrotra served as COO of Brighton Health Group, Privia’s former parent company. Before that, Mehrotra was a senior financial officer at athenahealth and served as a member of the healthcare investment banking group at Goldman Sachs. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Privia Health provides technology-enabled tools to medical groups, health plans and health systems. Founded in 2013, the company has a presence in 12 states and Washington D.C., according to its 2022 annual financial presentation.
