Nonprofit hospital system Sutter Health announced the appointment of Jennifer Bollinger to its chief marketing and communications role Friday. Bollinger will be the first to serve in the newly created position within Sutter.
As the head of marketing for the Northern California healthcare system, Bollinger will be responsible for Sutter’s consumer and brand engagement.
Sutter CEO Warner Thomas said in a statement that Bollinger would be tasked with elevating the Sacramento, California-based system’s digital engagement and connection efforts, including increasing usage of digital patient tools.
Thomas was appointed CEO of the health system in December and became the system’s first external CEO in more than 40 years.
Like Thomas, Bollinger previously held leadership roles at Louisiana-based nonprofit system, Ochsner Health. Prior to her 11-year tenure at Ochsner, she worked at numerous marketing and communications groups and founded The Netcom Group, an agency focused on hospitality, consumer products and healthcare clients.
