Name: Aaron Lewis
Previous title: CFO, Lifepoint Health
New title: President and chief operating officer, Lifepoint Health

As COO, Lewis will be “instrumental” in leading Lifepoint’s growth as the health system looks to expand its footprint and add new services, the Brentwood, Tennessee-based provider said in a news release Tuesday.
Lewis succeeds Jason Zachariah, who served as Lifepoint’s COO since 2022 and left the organization this month.
The health system, which operates 68 community hospitals and more than 70 rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals across 34 states, has begun a national search for a new CFO, according to the release.
Lewis has worked for Lifepoint since 2018. He previously served in leadership roles overseeing growth, business transformation and physician services, and began in the CFO role more than two years ago.
“Aaron has played a vital role in Lifepoint’s growth and transformation for nearly a decade,” LifePoint CEO David Dill said in a statement. “He has a keen understanding of our company and its opportunities, and we are excited to see him step into this new role and expand how he works with our teams across the nation as we position ourselves for the future.”
Private equity-owned Lifepoint has been focused on expansion across a variety of markets. Earlier this month, the health system closed its acquisition of eight hospitals in Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Idaho and Wisconsin from Louisville, Kentucky-based ScionHealth.
Lifepoint began construction last year on a rehabilitation hospital outside of Madison, Wisconsin, in partnership with UW Health and UnityPoint Health. The health system is also building a rehab facility in Tennessee with Ascension and has a joint venture to operate two behavioral health hospitals with OhioHealth.
