“We're in a hustle-bustle social media world,” Liberty HealthShare Chief Executive Officer Dorsey Morrow informs. “Most folks don't take time to stop and engage with others, and so we do our best to share the experience of individual members, the success stories they have or the trials they're going through, through our newsletter, our website.”

Morrow adds that Liberty HealthShare’s “members can sign in through their sharing portal to see who their contributions have helped through their membership.”

Members are also encouraged to submit prayers and “pray it forward” for other members. 

“We have a list that is distributed internally on every Friday of prayer requests from our members,” says Morrow. "It's one of those times during the day you just stop, you read through it, and then we pray over it. Whether it's with the member or for the member, we are about prayer."

Member feedback drives program improvements and new offerings. The ministry conducts member surveys every six months to understand emerging needs and satisfaction levels. One notable example came when member suggestions led to the creation of the dental-sharing program.

"Our values include accountability, and that means being trustworthy and responsive and transparent in what we do," says Morrow. "If we don't have the answer, we're not going to make something up on the spot. We're going to tell you, 'Hey, listen, I don't have it right now, but let me do a little research, and I will get back to you.'"

The ministry recently demonstrated its commitment to members when helping an elderly participant who had transitioned to Medicare. Due to confusion about how the programs worked together, she faced substantial medical expenses. Liberty HealthShare staff worked with their vendors to reprice her bills. Members shared eligible medical expenses and dedicated team members guided her through proper program setup.

Morrow believes healthcare-sharing ministries can help reshape how Americans think about financing healthcare. "Taking responsibility for our own healthcare" represents a crucial step toward controlling medical expenses, he explains. The ministry encourages members to actively engage with medical providers, ask questions about procedures and costs, and make informed decisions about their care.

These achievements reflect the ministry's commitment to serving its community through faith-based healthcare sharing.

That sense of belonging is something Liberty HealthShare member Kimberly Gardner admits she continues to find value in. 

“Being part of a health-sharing community makes you feel more responsible to care for your health, and I appreciate that we are included,” Garder added. “They are always expanding and adding features to our membership. I love being a member. I tell all my friends.”
