Good Days is excited to announce the launch of a new Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) assistance fund that provides $3,250 per year for eligible individuals to help cover treatment costs after insurance.
NMOSD is a rare inflammatory disorder that affects the central nervous system and primarily targets the optic nerves, brainstem, and spinal cord.
“Individuals with less common conditions like NMOSD often encounter unique challenges in accessing treatment and getting the support they need,” said Clorinda Walley, President of Good Days. “Our new NMOSD assistance fund will help bridge the financial gap for people suffering from this condition so that they can focus on their wellbeing.”
“These programs help to further alleviate the financial burden of healthcare costs for individuals facing chronic illnesses,” said Randie Odebralski, Chief Operating Officer of Good Days. “By utilizing these resources, patients can access a broad spectrum of support, ensuring they have the necessary assistance to manage their health effectively.”
To enroll in the NMOSD Financial Assistance Program, an individual must:
- Be diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder.
- Have a valid Social Security number and receive treatment in the United States.
- Seek assistance for a prescribed treatment that is FDA approved to treat NMOSD.
- Have valid insurance coverage.
- Be at or below 500% of the federal poverty level.
