Chris Hyer, PA-C, Joins VillageMD to provide strategic leadership as new Vice President, Advanced Practice Providers
VillageMD today announced that Chris Hyer, PA-C has joined VillageMD to lead its advanced practice providers (APP). In this role, Hyer will be responsible for the recruitment and continuing professional development of a critical portion of its primary care workforce. VillageMD, through its group practice Village Medical, currently employs and is adding to its APP workforce in all its current markets.

Prior to joining VillageMD, Hyer was executive director for APPs at Intermountain Healthcare where he provided strategic and operational leadership for more than 1,500 employed and affiliated APPs. Hyer is experienced in recruiting, onboarding, and improving the working environments, such as by implementing hospital bylaws changes to include APPs as voting medical staff members while at Intermountain. Prior to coming to Intermountain, Hyer served as the medical director for the Community Health Centers, Inc., in Salt Lake City. Hyer attended University of California Los Angeles’ Healthcare Executive Program and obtained his master’s in physician assistant studies (MPAS) from University of Utah, and bachelors degree in Spanish and literature also from University of Utah.
