Metro Health Hires New Chief Executive Officer
WASHINGTON (April 9, 2019) – March 29, 2019 Metro Health, a multi-disciplinary healthcare organization, welcomed a new CEO, Miguel McInnis. McInnis has over 25 years of healthcare management and consulting experience.
While a graduate student, McInnis worked with community leaders to establish a Federally Qualified Health Center in Stamford, Ct. and went on to work as an executive for another Federally Qualified Health Center in Newark, NJ. He was recruited to work for the Health Care practice at Deloitte Consulting where he worked primarily in the public healthcare finance practice on Public and Private sector Statewide Revenue Maximization initiatives. He transitioned to the Healthcare Practice at Ernst & Young, LLP where he worked on Revenue Cycle, Operations Improvement and System Installation projects.
In 2001, McInnis returned to the Federally Qualified Health Center space where he led the federally funded Primary Care Association in Maryland and Delaware, the Mid- Atlantic Association of Community Health Centers for 11 years. As a result of outstanding public health leadership, he was awarded the Norton-Wilson Award by the National Association of Community Health Centers. He went onto establish his own firm McInnis & Associates Consulting, LLC which worked with start-up’s, private sector companies, community-based organizations and county governments on healthcare access and primary care initiatives. Prior to joining Metro Health, he worked as an Executive Director and Client Partner for DentaQuest where he managed the Medicaid and Medicare Advantage dental benefits programs on behalf of clients in the Maryland and DC markets.
