The Florida House Experience (FHE), a JCAHO/CARF accredited healthcare institution delivering high quality, medically integrated personalized treatment for those suffering with behavioral health and addiction disorders, announced its new Empower! Women’s Program. Empower! is specifically tailored to the needs of women who struggle with substance abuse, co-occurring disorders and mental health issues.
FHE is holding an open house on September 21, 2018 from 3-6pm at 500 S. Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach. Physicians, case managers and social workers will have the opportunity to learn more about "Empower! and meet Program Director, Mindy Appel, LCSW, ACSW and program staff Janus Moncur, LCSW, CPC, Sandra Lynch-Larmond, LMHCI and Misha Boger, CAP-I.
"Empower! Recognizes the unique needs of women and the importance of providing a supportive and therapeutic environment to overcome their obstacles,” said Appel, who has more than 20 years’ experience working to help diagnose and treat a host of behavioral issues. “We focus on helping patients build healthy relationships and address issues specific to their individual needs in a therapeutic environment with the program’s comprehensive, coordinated approach.”
This program addresses the trauma, psychiatric and personality issues, grief and loss, relationships, family, and personal issues that may cause unwanted behaviors.
“Empower! is full of hope, healing, laughter and tears, in a caring and supportive environment where women can be themselves and can focus on how to achieve healthier and happier lives,” added Appel.
