Healthcare Finance and Technology Veteran to Drive Strategic Growth for Patient Financial Solutions Company
Orlando, FL – June 16, 2018 — PatientMatters, a patient access and advocacy solutions provider helping hospitals and health systems offer their patients highly-personalized financial solutions, today announced that it has appointed Rick Darer as its Chief Financial Officer. Darer will lead the company’s finance and accounting teams, with an emphasis on implementing business strategies that support long-term company growth.
Darer brings more than 30 years of healthcare, operations and advanced technology experience to his role at PatientMatters. Prior to joining PatientMatters, Darer served as the Principal at Sculpere Partners, LLC for eight years, optimizing growth and earnings for more than 25 companies. He also served the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at a SaaS-based internet infrastructure firm, Gomez. Under his leadership, the company grew at a compound annual growth rate of 45% which led to a strategic acquisition of the company by Compuware. Additionally, Darer has held senior finance positions at notable firms including Computervision Corporation and General Electric. He received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, a Master of Science from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.
