Dr. Robert Roberts has been teaching political science at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, since 1982. His author credits include From Watergate to Whitewater: the Public Integrity Wars (Praeger 1997); with Tony Eksterowicz, Ethics in U.S. Government: An Encyclopedia of Investigations, Scandals, Reforms and Legislation (Greenwood 2001); with Scott Hammond, and Encyclopedia of Presidential Campaigns, Slogans, Issues and Platforms (Greenwood 2004).

Dr. Robert Roberts: The nomination has little chance of getting though the Senate before the November election. If Hillary Clinton wins the election then there is a chance Republicans will allow the nomination to avoid allowing Clinton to nominate a more liberal judge.
