Telehealth has been promoted as a way to improve efficiency of hospitals and primary healthcare providers, but another purported benefit was that it would lead to increased interaction between doctors and their patients. However, according to a British study, "telehealth did not appear associated with different levels of contact with general practitioners and practice nurses."
