ContextMedia has been redesigning the exam room since 2006 when it launched Waiting Room TV, which transmits healthcare-related content, according to Chicago Business Journal.
Since then, ContextMedia has turned its attention to tablets. In 2013, it introduced tablets to exam rooms to help patients and physicians exchange information, Chicago Inno reported. The company began developing the hardware, in addition to the software, for its products to offer a wide range of interactive digital platforms customizable to individual offices’ and specialties’ needs.
