LOS ANGELES, CA (May 19, 2021) — NINJIO PEOPLE, a training and development company that creates 3- to 5-minute microlearning videos on a range of pressing human resources topics, today announced it will offer complimentary access to employee wellness-based content as a part of Mental Health Awareness Month. Viewers can access the PSA, entitled “Employee Burnout: Are you really OK?”, until June 30, 2021.
Employees are reporting record burnout rates due to being emotionally overwhelmed, overworked, and having less personal and leisure time. A recent study from online employment platform Monster revealed that 59 percent of workers were taking less time off during the pandemic, 42 percent of workers had no upcoming plans for vacations, and 65 percent reported having symptoms of burnout. These include anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, heart disease, a weakened immune system, cognitive decline, and obesity.
As employees return to offices (or transition to permanent remote work), it’s essential for companies to address the mental health of their workforce. Mental Health Awareness Month is an opportune time to direct the attention of organizational leaders and human resources executives to employee wellness programs.
“People have short attention spans, particularly when it comes to difficult subject matter,” says NINJIO founder and CEO Zack Schuler. “Our writers and animators have mastered the art of compressing hour-long training sessions into short-form, engaging content with teachable moments—proven to yield higher retention than standard solutions. When tackling a problem as big as mental health, it’s important to us that the material is absorbed fully and the lessons are effective in changing behavior.”
NINJIO PEOPLE’s employee burnout-related episode not only teaches viewers how to spot the tell-tale signs of burnout, but also how to make habitual changes to counteract these symptoms.
Complimentary access can be found here until June 30, 2021.
