BUENNING JOINS ARCH SYSTEMS AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Baltimore, MD - Denise M. Buenning has joined Arch Systems, Inc. as its first Chief Operating Officer.
A certified HUBZone company, Arch Systems, Inc. is an innovative, high-growth 8a, certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), providing IT services to many U.S. Government agencies and other public sector clients. Arch Systems professionals conceive, analyze, develop and implement optimal solutions for their clients’ most challenging business and technology needs.

Buenning most recently served as Director of CAQH’s Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE), where she expanded that organization’s CORE Certification Program. Prior to that, she spent sixteen years at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) with progressively responsible positions in beneficiary outreach and education, and finally as Acting Deputy Director of its Office of E-health Standards and Services. She has authored a number of Federal regulations, including ICD-10, and oversaw the agency’s Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) transaction and code set enforcement efforts. She served as Public Affairs Director for two Kansas City hospitals, as well as Group Manager, Advertising, for Sprint Corporation.
Buenning is a Communications graduate of American University, Washington DC, and holds a Master’s degree in Management from Baker University, Baldwin City, Kansas. She also is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute and recipient of CMS’s 16 Most Valuable Women Award.
