Nanda Journeys Selected by Serbian Nurses Association for Professional Exchange
American Travel Company Builds Borders with Unique Exchange Program for Nursing Professionals
San Jose, CA – January 10, 2017 – Nanda Journeys, provider of theme-driven travel programs for adults and professionals, today announced the Serbian Nurses Association has selected to collaborate with the travel provider on a professional exchange with United States healthcare professionals.
Nurses traveling from the United States will be welcomed to Serbia by HRH Princess Katherine at the Royal Palace, in addition to visiting the Ministry of Health, a local nursing school and Zvecanska Orphanage in Belgrade. For the first time, nurses will focus on their role in both countries and compare healthcare systems and education/training programs in the profession.
“We’re honored to have been hand selected by the Serbian Nursing Association for this unique professional exchange,” said Nicola Balmain, Founder of Nanda Journeys. “Our travelers will connect with nursing professionals in a variety of settings to exchange ideas on current healthcare policies in Serbia and the U.S. Such exchanges are invaluable to help in the advancement of global relations and professional development for Serbian and U.S. healthcare providers.”
This professional exchange program comes at an important time as concern grows for the current state of the medical industry and the global desire to improve nursing outcomes, access to care issues, controlling the costs to care for each patient, and discussing ways to improve the lives of our patients.
Ms. Slavica Konevic, President of the Serbian Nurses Association wrote: “Visiting Serbia will provide an excellent opportunity to meet with many of our nurses, managers and allied healthcare professionals to see firsthand the great work taking place right here in Belgrade. We are excited to provide the opportunity for a true exchange along with unique access to our various medical facilities, colleges and professional associations.”
The 9-day travel program leaves September 9-16, 2017 and has an inclusive cost of $4,999. The travel group will be led by Bobbie Berkowitz, Dean and Mary O’Neil Mundinger Professor of Nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing and Senior Vice President of the Columbia University Medical Center. Travelers will also have the opportunity to add on a 5-day extension trip to explore the Balkan Peninsula, including Croatia, Montenegro and Herzegovina.
