Dive Insight:
In addition to offering in-home care, SEI Healthcare also offers non-medical transportation, a call center, facility staffing and registered nurse staffing. With the U.S. population of seniors expected to grow to more than 20% of the total population by 2030, SEI Healthcare CEO Beau Brothers says this is the perfect time to expand.
According to Brothers, there are currently more than 500,000 people in the Chattanooga area, 90,000 of which are over the age of 65. He says there are an additional 74,000 people between the ages of 55 and 64. "This tells you there is a great need for in-home care services," Brothers told Nooga.com. "And as the population ages, the needs will be greater for in-home care all over the U.S."
