- The Medical Group Management Association has selected Dr. Halee Fischer-Wright as its new president and CEO, beginning March 23.
- Dr. Fischer-Wright currently serves as CMO at Centura Health System's St. Anthony North Health Campus in Westminster, CO. She has previously launched her own medical practice, served as a management consultant, and served as president of Rose Medical Group in Denver. She also co-authored a New York Times best-seller, Tribal Leadership.
- The MGMA's approximately 33,000 members are medical group executives who manage 18,000 healthcare organizations.

The MGMA touts Dr. Fischer-Wright as having unique expertise from both clinical and administrative roles, which they say will be critical in helping MGMA members prepare for value-based payments, among other things.
The responsibilities of her role include strategic leadership, management of MGMA staff and association operations, and representing medical group practices.
