Ward has been with TriHealth or Group Health for the last 11 years, including serving as CIO and Director of Business Development at Group Health Associates from 2004 to 2007. He worked as Director of Health Systems Integration for TriHealth from 2007 to 2012, before becoming Director of Ambulatory Systems the following year. In that role, he oversaw the implementation of Epic across TriHealth's 550 employed physicians.
In his position as Chief Information Officer, Ward will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of information services at TriHealth's four hospitals. He will also oversee multiple capital projects and strategic initiatives. "We are thrilled to name John to the position of Chief Information Officer at TriHealth," said Will Groneman.
