- Health IT consulting company, Cumberland Consulting Group, has acquired Oleen Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting, a national healthcare consulting group that specializes in IT.
- Oleen's president and CEO Pete Biagioni will become Cumberland's managing partner of the payer division.
- Oleen's 50 employees will bring Cumberland's total employee number to 320 and Oleen's Little Rock, Arkansas office will serve as the main office for Cumberland's payer division.

The acquisition will enable Cumberland to expand their payer service offerings and market presence, according to HIT consultant. Brian Cahill, Cumberland CEO, said in a press release, "We are boosting our presence in the payer space by combining with Oleen and look forward to leveraging the collective knowledge and expertise of our newest team members to better serve our clients." Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cumberland has purchased two other companies, Cipe Consulting Group and Mindlance Life Sciences, since 2013. Cipe is a healthcare technology consulting firm that specializes in EHRs and revenue cycle system implementation. Mindlance is a consulting group that provides technology implementation services to pharmaceutical firms.
