According to the hackathon website, participants are encouraged to look at how information is collected, processed and used to improve care, reduce costs and enhance the overall experience. Teams will be asked to present their solutions after the 24-hour time frame to a panel of judges. Projects will be evaluated on creativity and how technology can help leverage big data.
"A hackathon brings a diverse group of extremely bright people together, aligning them behind a common cause," said Cleveland Clinic Associate CIO Dr. William Morris in a statement. "In this case, we hope to find solutions to challenges we face in healthcare."
